Optoelectronic reservoir computing system with output layer modification

Abstract: We experimentally investigate a reservoir computing system based on a vertical-cavity surface emitting laser subject to optoelectronic feedback. We demonstrate how the output layer configuration influences the error when solving the Santa Fe time series prediction task.
