Kinetics of oscillation of a liquid electrode in direct electric discharge

Abstract: The kinetics of a liquid cone at the surface of a liquid electrode before and after a spark discharge over the vertex of a Taylor cone is investigated using a high-speed video camera. The features of oscillatory processes on the liquid electrode with different dynamic characteristics (glycerol and a 1% solution of H$_2$SO$_4$) in electric fields with a strength of $E\le$ 30 kV/cm ($U\le$ 16 kV) are studied.
