Abstract:
The field emission electronic properties of ordered nanotubes based on titanium dioxide, produced by electrochemical oxidation of the metal, have been studied. The structures were characterized by scanning electron microscopy. Quantitative data on the field emission threshold and maximum density of the emission current were obtained on the basis of the results of current-voltage characteristic measurements. It was found that the emission threshold and maximum current density decrease with increasing inner diameter (and, accordingly, density) of TiO$_2$ nanotubes in the array.
