Abstract:
Using chemical method which does not require heating of the samples, gold nanoclusters are prepared on surfaces (001) of GaP crystals. Characterization of the obtained Au/GaP nanostructures are performed and plasmons in the structures are studied by method of reflectance anisotropy spectroscopy. It is shown that spectral feature at energy near 2eV belongs to plasmons of the weakly anisotropic Au clusters elongated predominantly in [110] crystallographic direction on GaP(001) surface.
