Abstract:
New results are presented in the direction of improving the spectral properties of inorganic materials of the alkali-earth metal fluoride group by coating them with carbon nanotubes (using the example of MgF$_2$) optical material). Modeling and data analysis indicate that the resulting nanostructures can be used as modern transparent optical elements, such as nanostructured protective windows, plane-parallel plates, for devices in the UV range of the spectrum. The studied structured material can be used as a new structural material for optical emission and X-ray spectrometers.
