Abstract:
The regularities of wavefront conjugation in the contradirectional four-wave mixing by mixed holographic gratings in the Bi$_{12}$SiO$_{20}$ crystal of (001), (110) and (111)-cuts are considered. The dependences of the reflection coefficient optimized by the crystal orientation angle and the azimuth of the linear polarization of the light beams on the recording medium thickness are investigated. It is shown that the maximum intensity of the phase-conjugate light beam is achieved for a crystalline sample of (110)-cut. The combinations of crystal thickness and orientation angle values, as well as the azimuth of the polarization of the light beams, at which the highest efficiency of diffraction is achieved are determined.
