Experimental implementation of reservoir computing with a semiconductor laser subject to optoelectronic feedback

Abstract: We present the results of experimental research of a reservoir computing system based on a semiconductor laser with optoelectronic feedback. In the research, the memory capacity of the system and error in predicting the chaotic Mackey-Glass time series have been determined. The effect of the system pump current, feedback strength and number of nodes on its performance has been investigated.
