Harmonic wave radiation induced by a flat piston with allowance for the mobility of the interface and nonlinearity of medium

Abstract: The problem of harmonic pressure wave generation by a moving piston is solved for the first time. An initial boundary value problem for the Riemann equation is formulated, and a boundary condition for the current position of a contact boundary is set. Physical effects caused by the allowance for mobility of the contact boundary and nonlinearity of the medium are considered in the framework of the obtained analytical solution.
