Abstract: The movement of dislocations in the field of chaotically distributed point defects and Guinier–Preston zones under high-strain-rate deformation of solid solutions has been studied. It has been shown that, under definite conditions, the dynamic hindering of dislocations by the Guinier–Preston zones can occur similarly to dry friction and have a significant effect on the plastic deformation process.
