Generation of electron bunches by an ultrarelativistic laser pulse intersecting the boundary of an inhomogeneous plasma

Abstract: The mechanism of generation of electron bunches in the interaction of a laser pulse with a semi-bounded plasma having a blurred boundary with vacuum in the form of a transition layer is investigated.
