Abstract:
The properties of the field electron emitter, the surface of which is obtained by the decomposition of benzene molecules on the iridium tip, are studied. As a result, a graphite crystal is formed at the top of the tip. Resistance to adsorption of molecules of residual gases and the possibility of localization of emissions by adsorption and intercalation of alkali metal atoms are shown.
