Abstract:
Statistical analysis of distribution of the elasticity modulus $(E)$ and strain (elongation) at break $(\varepsilon_b)$ of commercial oriented polyamide-6 (PA-6) fibers has been performed in the framework of the Gaussian and Weibull models. Results of analysis confirm the dualism of the distribution of $E$ and $\varepsilon_b$ values of this oriented high-strength polymer, which consists in the validity of both the normal Gaussian distribution and the standard Weibull distribution function for this material.
