Abstract:
Results of studying properties of magnetooptical waveguide logic gates are presented. Simple logical operations can be implemented by changing photon states in a substance under the action of a modulating magnetic field. Varying the amplitude and orientation of the magnetic field relative to the light propagation direction, choosing the orientation of the polarizer and analyzer and appropriate configuration of the waveguide, one can design logic gates, including ones for qubit models. In doing this, the time barrier of low coherence peculiar to optical qubits is passed.
