Abstract:
The case of light localization in a thin inhomogeneous film of amorphous carbon doped with copper has been considered. The effect is due to the scattering of light by copper nanoparticles embedded in the film. The localization explains the amplification of the “two-phonon” lines of infrared absorption by nanoscale diamonds simultaneously present in the film.
