Abstract: A study was made of a hybrid metal-polymer material consisting of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and nanoparticles distributed throughout its volume, silver, gold, copper or aluminum. The effective permittivity and absorption cross section are calculated, and the processes of temperature relaxation are modeled. It has been shown that mixtures of PMMA with silver, copper, aluminum, or gold nanoparticles can be used as an active medium in optoacoustic ultrasound generators.

Keywords: hybrid material, ultrasound generator, nanoparticle, polymethyl methacrylat.
