Abstract: Conditional time travel through quantum teleportation shows that for a particular case, information is able to travel backward in time. To investigate this phenomenon, we implemented causal analysis, which is a formal method to distinguish between cause and effect without invoking time relations. We considered two approaches to examine teleportation: the tensor product and time-reversal formalisms. The causal analysis reveals the existence of an own time flow for a teleporting qubit and shows that even for a general case, the information regarding a random future is able to travel backward in time.
