Evaluating the effectiveness of a fault injection attack on the Hypericum signature scheme

Abstract: The effectiveness of a known attack on the SLH-DSA standard in the context of the Hypericum scheme is assessed. According to the obtained results, the Hypericum scheme is also vulnerable to this attack, but is more resistant than the SLH-DSA scheme. Modifications of known methods to counter the attack are proposed.
