Abstract: The differential characteristics of the experimentally measured optical transmission spectrum of a Bi$_{12}$GeO$_{20}$ single crystal sample are analyzed in comparison with the calculated spectral dependences of the Fourier components in the time expansion of this spectrum in the case of harmonic wavelength modulation of probe radiation.

Keywords: bismuth germanium oxide, optical transmission, differential characteristics, numerical simulation.
