Soliton dynamics in a lightguide described by the Gerdjikov–Ivanov model

Abstract: Soliton dynamics is considered in framework of the Gerdjikov–Ivanov model for the case of a soliton propagating along a non-uniform and time-dependent background. The equations which determine such a dynamics are obtained. The theory is illustrated by an example of a soliton propagating along a simple wave.
