Abstract:
Exploitation features of irrigation pumping station siphon charging pipes for both close and open plugging of relatively short-length upside and long-length downside wings are discussed in the case when its down sliding wing provides maximum water discharge during the automatic flow. Priority is given to the open way option with an open reservoir placed inside the plugging hub for removing air accumulated during the hydraulic regime change, reducing electricity consumption by the pumping units and preventing the hydraulic shocks of pumping units resulted by the throttling of the water locks.
