Abstract: In this paper, we have identified the crucial importance of the three-dimensional component in the visual perception of graphical information. We have also analyzed various existing technologies of converting two-dimensional and real objects to a three-dimensional or a pseudo three-dimensional form. One of the adapted conversion technologies is summarized on the basis of this analysis. This new technology is described on the example of the «Revived Pictures» project (a real project executed in collaboration with the State Russian Museum, the result of which is a panorama of an animated picture of Ivan Shishkin demonstrated in the Corps de Garde pavilion of the Mikhailovsky Castle).
