Solvability of a Model Problem of Motion of a Granular Mixture

Abstract: The global solvability of an initial–boundary value problem for a model system of equations of one-dimensional nonstationary motion of a granular mixture is proved for the case in which the viscosity and pressure depend on density. The convergence of the solution of the nonstationary problem to the solution of the stationary problem as time tends to infinity is established.
