Abstract:
The phenomenon of reversible deformat-on in the pre-destructive region of a rock specimen under uniaxial compression is investigated on the basis of model representati-ons of the theory of self-equilibrated stresses, taking into account the experimentally observed deformation pattern on the specimen surface. The experimental data were obtained using the acoustic-deformation method. The relevance of this study is related to the development of non-classical model representat-ions of mechanics of deformable solid bodies, the evolution of stress-strain state in arrays and rock samples under different kinds of force actions. A method for determining the complete stress-strain state in the entire volume of the specimen throughout the entire loading history has been developed.
Keywords:acoustic deformation method, the phenomenon of the reversible nature of deformations.
