Abstract:
The elastic deformation of a composite in a state of plane strain is considered. The plate consists of two consoles connected by an adhesive layer. External load ensures normal rupture of the layer. From the general variational formulation, taking into account the Mindlin—Reissner theory, a differential formulation was obtained. An analytical solution is given for the range of layer thicknesses for which the characteristic equation has complex roots. The influence of the Poisson's ratios of the cantilever and layer on the stress distribution in the adhesive and the value of the J-integral is investigated.
