Abstract: Methods are discussed for analysing nonstationary deformation problems of 3-D structures made up of solid bodies, shells and rods. The defining equation set is formulated in Lagrange variables. Relations of the theory of flow with kinematic and isotropic hardenning ore used as equations of state, taking into account mechanics of damaged continua and dependence of mechanical characteristics on the damage parameter. Contact interaction of individual structural elements is modelled by the non-penetration conditions allowing the breach of contact. The problem analysis is based on using a cross-type explicit finite-difference time-integration scheme and a variational formulation of the finite-element method.
