Influence of hydrothermal conditions on the phase transformations of amorphous alumina

Abstract: Amorphous Al2O3 transforms into the pseudoboehmite and boehmite phases of AlO(OH) under hydrothermal conditions. Specific surface area, pore volume and the amount of acidic sites decrease upon complete conversion of amorphous Al2O3 into boehmite.
