Synthesis of catalytically active diene and cyclopentadienyl rhodium halide complexes

Abstract: Diene and cyclopentadienyl rhodium halides are very often used as catalysts for various transformations. Herein we analyze the advantages and limitations of classical and more recent synthetic methods for the preparation of these catalysts with a focus on the compounds with chiral ligands.
