Abstract: The reaction of trans-[(PPh₃)PtCI₂]₂ with AgOAc in HOAc gives the new tetranuciear complex [(PPh₃)Pt(μ₂-OAc)₂(μ₃-OAc)Ag]₂, In which the Ag and Pt atoms are bonded by bridging bi- and tri-coordinated acetate ligands, according to single crystal X-ray data.
