Effect of Donor–Acceptor Interaction on the Kinetics of Gas-phase Chemical Reactions

Abstract: We have shown that the reaction BCl₃+NH₃→Cl₂BNH₂+HCl takes place in the gas phase at 70 °C and pressure < 1 Torr at the rate of collision between the molecules; the essential role of donor–acceptor interactions in the dynamics and kinetics of similar reactions is suggested.
