The first example of synthesis of aluminacyclopropanes catalysed by (η⁵-C₅H₅)₂TiCl₂

Abstract: The synthesis of a series of cyclic organoaluminium compounds, aluminacyclopropanes, which have never previously been described, has been carried out by α-olefin cyclometallation with EtAlCl₂ in the presence of a chlorine ion acceptor, metallic magnesium and Cp₂TiCl₂ (Cp = η⁵-C₅H₅) catalyst.
