Abstract: Ionisation of lanthanum monoxide molecules by a two-step scheme, in which the first-step radiation transfers a molecule into an excited electronic state, and the second-step radiation excites the molecule to the ionisation potential, is proposed; this makes it possible to increase the ionisation signal in comparison with one-step excitation.
