Abstract: Substituted 1-methyl-3,4-dihydrobenzo[f]isoquinoline interacts with substituted 5-methoxycarbonyl-2,3-dihydro-2,3-pyrrolediones to give substituted 1-oxo-1,2,10,11-tetrahydrobenzo[h]pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinoline-2-spiro-2-(4-hydroxy-5-oxo-2,5-dihydropyrroles).
