4,5-Difluoro-1,2-dehydrobenzene: generation and cycloaddition reactions

Abstract: The oxidation of 1-amino-5,6-difluorobenzotriazole with Pb(OAc)4 in dry CH2Cl2 afforded 4,5-difluoro-1,2-dehydrobenzene, a new active intermediate, which can be used in situ for the synthesis of fluorinated carbo- and heterocyclic compounds via cycloaddition reactions.
