Abstract: A new method for the stereoselective synthesis of 2-trifluoromethyl-2-hydroxy-4,6-diaryl-5-cyano-2,3-dihydropyrans using reactions of α,β-unsaturated trifluoromethyl ketones with substituted α-cyanoacetophenones is proposed.
