Abstract: A carbon label has been introduced into phthalocyanine molecules in order to perform a correct assignment of signals in the 13C NMR spectra of planar and sandwich-type metal complexes. With europium and lutetium as examples, the introduction of the label and the use of DEPT-135, GATED and 1H–13C COSY procedures enabled the recording and total assignment of signals in the 13C NMR spectra of homo- and heteronuclear three-decked phthalocyanines of rare-earth elements.
