Abstract: Photobleaching (λ=436nm) of trimethylene sulfide radical cations (λ_max≈460nm, ϵ_max≈345dm³mol^–1cm^–1) stabilised in different Freon matrices at 77K results in the formation of distonic radical cations CH₂CHSHCH₂^·+.
