Reduction fragmentation of the [Mn12O12(O2CCHCl2)16(H2O)4] oxocarboxylate cluster to [Mn6O2(O2CCHCl2)10(MeCN)4]

Abstract: The reaction of the [Mn12O12(O2CCHCl2)16(H2O)4] cluster with tetrathiotetracene triiodide has been studied and, for the first time, reduction fragmentation of Mn12 cluster to Mn6 cluster has been found.
