Trifluoromethyl derivatives of fullerene C₇₆, C₇₆(CF₃)_14–18

Abstract: The trifluoromethylation of a higher fullerene mixture followed by the HPLC separation of CF₃ derivatives resulted in the isolation of C₇₆(CF₃)₁₄, C₇₆(CF₃)₁₆ and C₇₆(CF₃)₁₈ (two isomers), the crystal and molecular structures of which were determined by X-ray diffraction with the use of synchrotron radiation.
