Abstract: Based on the XRD investigations of ¹H and ²H oxoethylidenediphosphonic acid crystalline hydrate and the statistical analysis of CSD, the nature of H2O···H···OP interaction was rationalized. The general character of the Zundel-like associate for phosphoric acid hydrates was proposed.
