Zirconium-catalyzed one-pot synthesis of ɛ-spirocyclopropyl-ɛ-caprolactones

Abstract: A new one-pot synthesis of e-spirocyclopropyl-e-caprolactones has been implemented via the reaction between vinylarenes, EtAlCl₂ and dimethyl adipate catalyzed by Cp₂ZrCl₂ in 60% yield.
