Photoisomerization of methylthiirane radical cations in freonic matrices at 77 K

Abstract: A reversible photochemical transition between an open pseudoallylic form and a cyclic form has been discovered for methylthiirane radical cations in the matrices of CFCl₃ and CF₃CCl₃ at 77K.
