Abstract: Hydrogels based on poly(N-vinyl caprolactam) (PVCL) with nanosized anatase (A particles) were synthesized by a sol–gel method and explored by powder X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The internal structure of A/PVCL has pores smaller than those in a PVCL hydrogel. The water swelling capacity of A/PVCL is higher than that of the initial PVCL.
