Charges on the surface of a lentil cavity in a two-dimensional homogeneous conductor

Abstract: The linear charge density on arc segments of a lentil cavity in a two-dimensional homogeneous conductor in a uniform external electric field is determined analytically. A singularity of the current density on the edges of the segments makes the resultant relations a helpful test for numerical computational algorithms.
