Abstract: The phase composition of the carbon nanomaterials synthesized upon an electric explosion of graphite cylindrical conductors is shown to depend on the introduced specific energy, the rate of increase of the electric current, the current density, and the thermophysical properties of the quenching medium. An electric explosion can be used to fabricate fullerenes, nanotubes, and nanodiamonds.
