Abstract:
The passage of an acoustic wave through the combustion products plasma in the combustion chamber of a jet engine is considered using the approximation of the three-liquid model of the plasma. Analytic formulas are derived for estimating the electron velocity, the electric field, and the degree of ionization. A method for determining temperature from the results of conductivity measurements is proposed and verified experimentally. The results of the study lead to the conclusion concerning good prospects of the proposed diagnostic method (measurement of electrophysical parameters of the plasma) for determining the working parameters of engines in real time.
