Possibility of controlling the relation between the shear and flexure energies during the vibration of a thin shear piezoelectric plate by changing the electrode shape
Abstract:
Electrode modifications are proposed for a shear piezoelectric PZT plate in order to change the relation between the energies of the components of the total flexure–shear mode. To this end, surface flexures are visualized using holographic interferometry and the measurement of the amplitude-frequency characteristics. Simple model concepts are suggested for the total mode.
