Abstract: Air flow electrization induced by the motion of bodies made of different materials is studied experimentally by detecting a potential appearing at an annular antenna through which the body passes. It is found that the motion of the body is accompanied by the motion of two unlike charges. The positions of the charges relative to the moving body versus its length are determined. Some parameters influencing the value of the charges are considered. It is shown that the kinematics of the body can be determined by recording an electric field accompanying its motion.
