Gas phase component distribution during an arc discharge over an aqueous electrolyte

Abstract: The gas phase composition in a closed volume is analyzed during an arc discharge over a liquid surface. Kinetic equations for related processes are derived from which the variation of the partial pressures of the most important components in the course of plasma-chemical interaction is calculated. The rate constants of main reactions attendant on a plasma discharge in a closed volume and in air are determined.
