Abstract: We describe a multivelocity model of a heterogeneous medium taking into account heat conduction, heat transfer, and friction between the component and their stress relaxation. The dependence of the velocity of sound in suspensions on the volume fraction and size of inclusions is analyzed numerically. It is shown that the amplitude of the stress wave propagating in the suspension, as well as its width and damping, is determined by the volume fraction and size of particles. The simulation of the effect of the striker on the solid composite gives the values of stress amplitude for collisions inducing no chemical reactions, which coincide with experimental values.
