Abstract:
The spectrograph earlier suggested by the author for rapid analysis of the charged particle beam energy is numerically simulated. Unlike the previous work, here potentials applied to the sections of a split plane electrode are proportional to the fourth root of ratio $z_N/z_1$, where $z_1$ is the distance from the front end electrode to the middle of the first section of the split electrode and $Z_N$$(N > 2)$ is the distance from the front electrode to the middles of other sections of the split electrode. The number of charged particle focused beam energies simultaneously recorded in line under such feeding conditions equals 200. This number is the largest among those reached with available electrostatic spectrographs.
